Philosophy

Our food sharpens your senses. All you really need for enjoyment is time. Eckart von Hirschhausen (German doctor and cabaret artist) says quite aptly: "if you don't enjoy, you become inedible". In today's society, we are at the mercy of constant optimization processes. What was good yesterday is frowned upon today and tomorrow's culinary delights look like a sea of food supplements. The food industry has not only managed to extract vitamins, nutrients and flavor from all fruits and vegetables: food has become "satiety". More than we would like to admit, this is to the detriment of our well-being and ultimately our health. That's why we have strawberries in December, lobster in the Alps, veal sausage on a palm-fringed beach and Wiener schnitzel in New York.
In paradise, pleasure reigns with peace. Slow food and peace food are buzzwords that we bring to life in the restaurant on the Fafleralp.

Alpine breakfast - PLUS

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day - especially on the alp. It provides you with energy for your hiking and mountain activities until midday. That's why we go one better and, after an extensive, healthy breakfast of genuine organic quality with seasonal delicacies and local products, we also offer you tips for the day and your own personal well-being.
PLUS doesn't just mean a "plus" in enjoyment, but also for the small hunger pangs that set in after an eventful day in the afternoon: Treat yourself to a snack in our snack bar, which will keep you going in the afternoon and won't keep you waiting so long until dinner. For our hotel guests, this snack is "enjoyment factor included".

Sun terrace

On the garden menu you will find our self-service buffet. It ranges from hearty rösti with bacon and egg to fruit tart or fine chestnut mousse in autumn. You'll also find Loichi children's menus and the classic french fries - but also a beetroot and wild boar burger. Team recommendation: The special ingredient is the sun on your face. It's fresh every day on our terrace.

Restaurant

Regional and seasonal is just as natural for us as fresh and prepared with love. In addition to the daily menu, you will find house classics such as cholera, stuffed chops and raclette specialities. We always put a lot of love into new, surprising creations. So every time you come to us, you can choose between classic and familiar or never-before-experienced flavours.

Wine

You can feel the special geographical location of the Valais with its above-average number of hours of sunshine on your tongue. We are particularly proud of our wine list because all the wines come from the surrounding area. If you are interested in how close the vineyard of the respective wine is, you will find this information next to a short description in the wine list.

Groups

If you are planning an event or are coming to us with a group of ten or more people, it is worth looking at the group ticket. We are very happy if you let us know in good time (up to 2 weeks in advance). We will be happy to take the time to plan the menu with you. The dishes on the group menu serve as a starting point and inspiration.

Relaxation and time can also be given as a gift. For example, as a voucher for a hiking weekend, for an unforgettable dinner or simply for a coffee and fruit cake after a long hike in the Lötschental mountains.
