PUBLIC TRANSPORT

For your travel planning, we recommend arriving and returning by public transport: www.sbb.ch / Blatten Fafleralp stop (hotel). From the stop you can reach our hotel in about 7 minutes on foot.

Car

If you are traveling by car, you can find the special Lötschberg car transport timetable on the BLS website, which will take you from Kandersteg to Goppenstein. From Goppenstein to Fafleralp it is about 20 minutes by car. At the end of the Fafleralp road you will find a large paid parking lot. We ask you to park your car in this parking lot. Costs approx. CHF 9 per day.
From the parking lot you can reach our hotel on foot in about 7 minutes. The way is signposted.

Another one is located at the valley station of the Wiler cable car.

The Blatten - Fafleralp road is closed during the winter months when the Hotel Fafleralp is open (January to April). Here are a few important tips for your journey:

For your travel planning, we recommend that you travel to and from the hotel by public transport: www.sbb.ch / stop Blatten (Lötschen), Dorf, terminus. From the stop, you can reach our hotel in approx. 1 hour on foot in an easterly direction, along the Lonza uphill.

Start winter trail to the hotel

We recommend a minimum stay of 2 nights to fully enjoy the Fafleralp. The Hotel Fafleralp can be reached on foot from Blatten and Cécile's Loipenstube in 1 hour via the marked winter hiking trail.

Luggage transport

We will take care of the luggage transport. You deposit the luggage in the red Toyota bus at Cécile's Loipenstube. The luggage will be brought up between 4 and 4.30 pm. On the day of departure it will be deposited again in Blatten between 10 and 12 o'clock.

Avalanche danger

In case of avalanche danger and very heavy snowfall, access to the hotel must be closed. Booking at your own risk.
