Although there is still plenty of snow, the doors and gates of the Hotel Fafleralp closed yesterday. 2 wonderful months are coming to an end, Flora & Faune will certainly enjoy the noticeable silence.


We, the Fafleralp team, would like to thank all our guests for their loyalty and the great moments we were able to spend with you. As always, it was great with you and the fact that you didn't shy away from coming to us despite the unusual travel conditions is the greatest compliment for us.

For our employees, the closure initially means a lot of work:
packing, locking up, stowing away and, yes, saying goodbye are now on the agenda. Over the next few days, they will head down into the valley and while nature begins to awaken, our employees will recover and recharge their batteries for the summer season. Which, by the way, starts on May 18, 2024.

But of course it doesn't work completely without work! Tatjana and Kirsten will be happy to answer your emails and advise you by phone every Tuesday from 2 to 5 pm. If you have any questions, just call 027 939 14 51. You can also book easily via our online booking system.

Experience nature while cross-country skiing and enjoy over 20 kilometers of well-groomed trails in the wintry Lötschental. Afterwards we will spoil you at the HIDEAWAY RESORT FAFLERALP with regional dishes and Valais hospitality.

4 days cross-country skiing for 2 persons from CHF 1'261.-*

You start in Blatten at Cécile's Loipenstube and stock up there with the cross-country skiing equipment for the next days and competent advice. We will pick up your equipment and luggage in Blatten and bring it directly to the hotel. In about one hour you will walk comfortably from Blatten to the Fafleralp, where we are already waiting for you with regional delicacies (breakfast & dinner).

The first laps you will then run in the Faflermatten on well-prepared slopes, before you can choose from another 20 kilometers of trails in the entire Lötschental on the following days. To end the day, we recommend our sun terrace, where you can relax with a view of the valley and recharge your batteries.

For the coming summer season we offer together with the hiking guide and connoisseur of the local nature and culture, Kari Henzen, various hiking weeks. Our hiking guests can expect a colorful range of the most beautiful hikes in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Lötschental and in the neighboring Gasterental, while they can set up their base camp with us at the HIDEAWAY-RESORT FAFLERALP.
